Dr. Paudel strives to improve the standard of palliative care in Nepal. He actively pursues improving opioid and oral morphine availability and accessibility for optimal pain management in palliative care throughout Nepal. He is currently working with multiple organizations to conduct palliative care educational activities in Nepal.

- As International Pain Policy Fellow, coordinated with Nepalese drug company, National Healthcare Ltd., and Department of Drug Administration in Ministry of Health to produce oral morphine in Nepal. Drug company started manufacturing morphine syrup since 2009 and tablet, in 2011
- Annual Palliative Care Training started for residents of National Academy of Medical Sciences, 2011-current
- Involved in NAPCare Pain Management Protocol release, 2011
- Former member, taskforce to establish Nepalese Association of Palliative Care (NAPCare) in 2009
